About the role

Nanango Services Club is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our dedicated culinary team. This is a full-time position based in our Nanango, Queensland location. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, from menu development to staff management.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement innovative menu items that showcase your culinary expertise and align with the club's dining offerings

Manage and lead a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation and service

Oversee food ordering, inventory management and budgeting to maximise efficiency and profitability

Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

Foster a positive, collaborative work environment in the kitchen

Work closely with the management team to plan and execute catering for special events and functions

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or in an equivalent senior culinary role

Proven track record of developing and executing successful menus for a hospitality establishment

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a kitchen team

Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and cost control practices

Passion for creating high-quality, innovative dishes using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients

Tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field is desirable
