About the Role

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a motivated Contracts Administration Officer to join the Transperth Train Operations team on a full-time, fixed term basis.

Reporting to the Senior Contracts Manager, this role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of contracts for the METRONET Railcar Procurement Project, a key initiative shaping the future of public transport in Western Australia.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

Assisting in the coordination and delivery of low to medium risk projects.

Supporting contract management including tenders, payments, and performance reviews.

Maintaining accurate financial records and update project budgets and forecasts.

Liaising with stakeholders to support project delivery and continuous improvement.

Ensuring compliance with PTA policies and government procurement requirements.

Preparing and reviewing contract documentation, tenders, and variations.

Maintaining contract and procurement records in line with PTA systems and policies.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Demonstrated experience in project or contract administration within complex environments.

Sound understanding of government procurement and financial administration processes.

Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with stakeholder engagement experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and contract management systems.

Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.

There is currently one fixed term opportunity available to 30 June 2028 with the possibility of renewal and/or permanency. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
