We foster a supportive, inclusive workplace and are seeking a proactive Office Administrator to lead our administrative, HR, and WHS functions.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Office Administrator to oversee office operations, HR, WHS, and compliance, ensuring the smooth running of our orchard activities. This management-level role suits a strategic leader who can manage a small team and occasionally support field tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee office operations, including filing, data entry, and preparing reports, policies, and correspondence using MYOB, Google Suite, and SignNow.
Manage meeting logistics, including agendas, minutes, and action item tracking.
Process invoices, requisitions, and contractor payments, ensuring accurate financial records.
Lead HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, training registers, and compliance with Modern Awards.
Drive WHS compliance: develop policies, conduct risk assessments, maintain incident/hazard registers, and coordinate mock drills.
Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, contractors, and stakeholders, resolving enquiries promptly.
Occasionally assist with field tasks (e.g., fruit fly trap checks, weighbridge operation) with approval.
Mentor administrative staff and undertake company-directed training as needed.
About You
Essential:
Extensive experience in administrative management, HR, or WHS in a horticultural or similar industry.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), MYOB, Google Suite, and SignNow.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of Fair Farms, Fresh Care, or HACCP standards.
Understanding of Modern Awards and other relevant legislative instruments.
Current Australian driver’s license.
Desirable:
· Diploma in Business Administration, HR, or WHS.
· Experience developing policies or compliance frameworks.
· Prior management experience in agriculture or horticulture.
Certifications in WHS or HR management.
