The role

Join the friendly team at Highclere Family Medical Practice as a part-time Medical Receptionist. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and support to ensure a positive experience for all who visit our practice. The position is for 17 to 20 hours per week and also requires covering for personal and annual leave whilst other staff members are away. There is scope for additional hours to be added in the future.

Key responsibilities

Greeting and welcoming patients

Schedule appointments, manage patient records

Assist with medical billing, Medicare claiming and other administrative tasks

Maintain an organised and efficient reception area

Provide general information and support to patients as needed

Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a medical or healthcare reception role

Knowledge with Pracsoft and Medical Director is preferable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic manner

Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems

A commitment to providing high-quality customer service

The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
