About the role

Truckfix NSW PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Prestons, NSW. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring our customers of commercial vehicles are well-maintained and roadworthy. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing a variety of heavy-duty diesel engines and related components.

What you'll be doing

Performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other components

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment

Rebuilding and overhauling diesel engine components as needed

Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations

Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used

Providing exceptional customer service to our fleet clients

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or related trade

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a commercial vehicle workshop

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics and repair procedures

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and customer service orientation

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Being able to work On-site carrying out servicing and repairs.

Flexible week on week off after hours breakdowns with service vehicle provided.
