Recent growth within the organisation has created an opportunity for a hard-working and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join the team based at our Fountaindale location.

The Diesel Mechanic will perform pre-conversion on the Class 8 Prime Mover. This role will also involve performing repairs and maintenance work under factory and industry standards, running diagnostics on vehicles, and collaborating closely with other team members to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs on Class 8 Prime Movers

Removal of the diesel engine for conversion to electric

Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop

Collaborate with the Workshop team to diagnose issues and plan repairs

Maintain accurate records of each conversion

Prepare the removed components for sale

Ensure compliance with safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Skills and Attributes

Excellent reading and writing skills

Effective communication skills

Troubleshooting

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience

Year 12 Certificate

Formal qualification with either a:

Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology; or

Cert III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology

Completed apprenticeship

5+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic

Must possess a valid CDL license

ASE Diesel Certification is an asset

Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License is an asset
