About the role

Shannon&Shak Mechanical is seeking an experienced mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position will see you working on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, trailers, machinery and air break systems, utilising your technical expertise to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What you'll be doing

Conducting routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines, including oil changes, fluid top-ups and filter replacements

Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues on diesel-powered equipment

Repairing and rebuilding diesel engine components as required

Liaising with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements

Maintaining detailed records of all work performed

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or a related field

Extensive experience (5+ years) working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in an onsite field service environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship

Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members

Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
