About the Tenancy Manager role and about you
We have opportunities for a Tenancy Manager to join our Customers – Services team in our Metro-North East region:
Tenancy Manager. Permanent, full-time role. Based at St Leonards.
Tenancy Manager. Fixed-term contract for 18 months. Based at St Leonards and Kirribilli.
The work of a Tenancy Manager is critical to our business, you are the main point of contact for tenants to access our services and you set the standard for a positive customer experience. You are customer service focused and responsive to tenant requests – working to address day to day tenancy matters as quickly as possible and more broadly supporting tenants to link to services they need to improve their health and wellbeing and sustain their tenancy.
As a Tenancy Manager you will contribute to the sustainability of tenancies through proactive management of property care, tenant arrears and debt and anti-social behaviour. Central to this role is conducting regular home visits which serve as a key engagement tool in supporting tenant wellbeing and maintaining housing stability.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in and passion to sustain tenancies for our customers by proactively managing property care, tenant arrears and debt and anti-social behavior.
These roles require travel to your portfolio and other SGCH locations as required.

Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including vulnerable people experiencing homelessness, rough sleepers, people managing mental health issues, experiencing domestic and family violence, people with disability, young people, older people
Experience in property management in the real estate industry or in public or community housing sector
Knowledge and understanding of NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010
Good written and verbal communication skills including interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate
Self-motivated with a learning mindset, with experience working autonomously
Current NSW driving license
