BT Personnel Pty Ltd are seeking to fill the above position on behalf of Byrne Trailers Pty Ltd.
Byrne Trailers is looking for a skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team, specialising in the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems, with a particular focus on the Lincoln Robotic Welder.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Designing and optimising automated welding systems for efficiency and precision
Developing control systems and programming robotic equipment
Troubleshooting and maintaining Lincoln robotic welding units
Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes
Ensuring all automation systems are safe, compliant, and aligned with business needs
About You
We're seeking someone with:
Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems (Lincoln preferred)
A minimum of 1-2 years experience with robotic welding systems is required
Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering (or similar)[EP1]
A degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred for this position
Strong understanding of PLC Programming
1-2 years experience in PLC programming is required
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Valid Australian work authorisation is required
