About this position
Reporting to the Contract and Procurement Specialist, the Procurement Officer plays a vital role in ensuring compliant and efficient procurement and tendering processes for the City.
This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supporting suppliers and staff, managing tenders and quotes, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Proven ability to manage procurement or tendering processes effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Proficiency in interpreting legislative and contract information
Relevant experience in a procurement/contract administration role (highly regarded)
Essential requirements
Current driver’s licence.
National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
Qualification in Procurement, Commerce or Law or progressing towards one
