Role Overview
We are on the hunt for a high-performing Finance Administrator to support our financial operations and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day accounts and project reporting. Based at our Varsity Lakes office, this role is perfect for someone who thrives on detail, takes initiative, and loves ticking off a to-do list.
Our team are strong believers that new skills be developed over time. We’re on the hunt for a proactive self-starter who’s eager to dive in, take ownership, and truly shape this role into something exceptional. Your day-to-day could involve:
Book travel including flights, accommodation, and car hire for project staff
Process credit applications and maintain supplier account information
Manage Xero: enter invoices, complete bank reconciliations, raise POs, process accounts payable and billing
Liaise with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project costs are accurately coded
Ensure timely and accurate financial processing and reporting
Keep project financials clean, clear, and audit-ready at all times
Ad hoc requirements relating to but not limited to project administration, tendering other general administrative tasks
Key Skills and Attributes
Attention to Detail: Ability to review financial documents and contracts with a high degree of accuracy.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with financial or project management software is a plus.
· Collaboration: Able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
· Adaptability: Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and knowledge to adapt to evolving challenges and contribute to organizational success.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience using Xero preferred
Previous experience in an administrative role, in the construction or civil engineering industry is advantageous but not required.
