Accounts Payable Officer – Construction

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + Super (experience dependent)

We’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-regarded construction company with a strong pipeline of projects across Queensland. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the AP function while being part of a supportive finance and project team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior CA, you’ll manage end-to-end accounts payable and support the Contract Administrators with project admin. This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities include:

Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets via electronic platforms

Registering subcontractor claims and ensuring approvals

Investigating and resolving invoice queries with subcontractors

Coding, processing, and preparing payments

Reconciling creditor balances, statements, and credit card accounts

Assisting with bank reconciliations and month-end processing

Completing creditor account applications and database setup

Supporting the CA team with trade certification docs, buyer handover packs, QA filing, and quotes

About You

Proven accounts payable experience (non-negotiable)

Background in construction or related industries (preferred)

Experience with Jobpac highly regarded (Cheops, Databuild, COINS also considered)

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Confident liaising with subcontractors and internal teams

Team player who is also comfortable working independently
