The Performance Assurance and Risk directorate offers independent, objective assurance and risk management advice to the Director General, Corporate Executive, and the Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC). This directorate oversees the Department’s internal audit activities, drives the development and integration of enterprise risk management across the Department, and conducts independent reviews of reportable deaths.

The Review Officer is responsible for undertaking independent reviews of reportable deaths. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders, the role provides advice to support coronial investigations and makes recommendations that create opportunities for business process improvement.
