The Opportunity:

A talented Bid Manager / Proposal Writer is required to refine the tendering and bidding function during an exciting period of growth. This newly created role will be pivotal in building strong internal capability, supporting external partnerships, and ensuring the consistent delivery of winning submissions in a competitive market.

As the key link between business development, technical expertise, and strategic partners, you'll play a central role in identifying opportunities, crafting compelling bids, and positioning the business for long-term success.

Your Role

In this role, you will:

• Manage the full tender and proposal lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission.
• Proactively monitor portals and identify opportunities that align with strengths and capabilities.
• Ensure all submissions are compliant, accurate, and meet evaluation criteria.
• Coordinate tender briefings, site visits, and clarifications.
• Oversee the tender pipeline and maintain robust tracking systems.
• Collaborate with technical specialists, pricing teams, and subject matter experts to deliver persuasive, high-quality proposals.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement best practice processes, templates, and knowledge libraries.
• Lead go/no-go frameworks and ensure focus on high-value opportunities.
• Analyse bid outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide strategic guidance to differentiate proposals for a competitive advantage.

Your Skills and Attributes:

We are looking for a team player who offers the following attributes:

• At least 5 years of experience in bid, proposal, or tender management.
• A proven history of securing complex, high-value wins with a focus on facilities management or service solution-oriented business.
• Strong knowledge of tender portals and electronic lodgement systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding project management and organisational capability.
• Experience working with external partners and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
• A firm grasp of compliance requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Proficiency with MS Office and relevant proposal/tender software.

Desirable extras:

• Knowledge of government procurement processes.
• Background in business development or technical writing.
• Experience establishing tender functions from the ground up.
