About the role

Do you want to join a well-established ophthalmology practice dedicated to delivering high-quality eye care in a warm, professional environment? We're located in Target Center, Warrnambool VIC. We are now seeking a friendly, reliable, and proactive individual to join our team as a Clinic Assistant & Receptionist.

This is a diverse and rewarding role combining front desk duties with clinical support responsibilities. You’ll be the welcoming face of the practice and play a key role in ensuring smooth patient journeys from arrival to follow-up.

What you'll be doing

Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

Scheduling and managing patient appointments

Maintaining up-to-date patient records and medical files

Processing payments, handling cash and EFTPOS transactions

Assisting with general office duties and administrative tasks

Performing basic clinical tests and imaging

Providing a high level of customer service at all times

Skills you will need

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Be organised, punctual, and take pride in your work

Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems

A friendly, professional and empathetic approach to patient care

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate with the right attitude.
