Financial Management Accountant

About the Role:

We are exclusively partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in the North Sydney region, seeking a confident and technically skilled Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a key finance role, contribute directly to a live ERP system migration, and work closely with an experienced and supportive Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Redesign and implement a revised chart of accounts aligned to operational and reporting needs
• Review and improve financial reports for accuracy and relevance
• Assist in preparing statutory accounts and annual budgets
• Collaborate with external accountants on income tax and FBT returns
• Manage daily income and expenditure postings for trading activity
• Prepare monthly management accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee bank reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, and supplier payments
• Maintain fixed asset records including crate purchases, evaluations, and stock reconciliations

Top 4 Cultural and Technical Must-Haves:

• Strong ERP experience; ideally with hands-on system migration exposure
• CA or CPA qualification
• Proven ability to handle complex reconciliations and P&L reporting
• A confident, proactive communicator who collaborates well with both finance and non-finance teams
