Boasting a strong leadership team, this organisation are offering the opportunity to join an established finance team, acting as a key right hand person to the Financial Controller who is supportive but will also give you autonomy within your role.

The Role
A key appointment for the organisation, you'll join the business as a Senior Accountant with a focus on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across the business, notably focussed on lease accounting, CAPEX and project reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Managing lease accounting in accordance with AASB 16 / IFRS 16
• Leading on the month-end close process and reporting, with ownership of key areas including CAPEX, leases, and cashflow
• Analyse and report financial results and metrics, identifying trends and assessing risks in a healthcare context
• Drive process improvements and system implementation projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Support half-year and annual reporting cycles, including contributing to audit processes in a highly regulated environment
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning focused on key growth drivers in operations
• Supervision and line management of an accountant with responsibility for CAPEX and projects

The Candidate
You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CA) with a strong technical grounding in Audit ideally from a big 4/mid tier practice environment seeking either a your first or second move from practice. You will have sound lease accounting knowledge (AASB 16 / IFRS 16) and ideally also have prior CAPEX experience.

You will have sound understanding of month end close processes with strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels including senior execs.
