About The Role

Join a fast-growing Australian FMCG business as part of a supportive finance team. This role manages accounts receivable and trade spend, ensuring accurate financial processes and supporting the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Managing daily receipts reconciliation, allocating cash receipts, and resolving discrepancies;
• Processing trade spend claims and rebates, and ensuring accurate application to customer accounts;
• Monitoring outstanding debtor balances, issuing customer statements, and following up payments;
• Regularly reviewing customer portals and ensuring invoices are accurate and complete;
• Generating weekly debtor reports for management;
• Supporting month-end balance sheet reconciliations and posting journals (rebate accruals, prepayments, etc.);
• Assisting with half-year and year-end audit requests and other external reporting needs; and
• Building collaborative relationships with internal teams across finance, supply chain, and sales.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Accounts Receivable experience;
• Experience with trade spend/rebate processes within the FMCG sector;
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills;
• Understanding of accounting journals and debit/credit entries;
• Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related discipline;
• Advanced Excel skills; and
• Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
