Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced part-time Accountant, who will be responsible for the delivery of the financial reporting for a high-profile organisation based on Melbourne's CBD fringe.

This role could lead to a permanent part-time opportunity.

The organisation is highly recognised throughout Victoria and needs assistant as it undergoes transformational change.

If you have several years' experience in a similar role, are immediately available and seeking part-time work (24 hours per week) this would be a great opportunity for you.

The Role

Reporting to the organisation's Finance Manager your duties will include:

• Timely & accurate month-end and year-end reporting
• Production of all accounting reports
• Complex reconciliations
• Revenue reporting
• Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards
• Board reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting
• Variance analysis
• Management reporting
• Working with external auditors
• Ensuring all financial management systems (including governance policies, procurement policies, risk management and statutory compliance) are in place and adhered to
• Providing leadership, direction and feedback within the team when required

Your Profile

To be successful you will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to take ownership of the accurate & timely production of the organisation's accounting reports.

• Proven financial accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• "Roll up the sleeves attitude"

Previous ERP experience (SAP / Oracle / Technology One) and an intermediate to advanced level of Excel will be advantageous.
