Middle Office Analyst

Based in Sydney CBD, the Middle Office team plays a critical role in supporting equity and FX markets across Australia and Asia.

About the Role

• Verify and allocate executed trades across Australian and Asian markets
• Amend allocations and send confirmations/trade reporting to clients (time critical)
• Perform reconciliations against market and internal systems to ensure data integrity
• Execute FX trades on behalf of clients trading in the Australian market
• Maintain and update written Middle Office procedures annually
• Administer and manage error/warehouse positions and cash transactions
• Liaise with clients, brokers, and clearers on trade and settlement issues
• Record and invoice fail fees, stock borrow fees, and related charges
• Act as first point of contact for client and trader queries, ensuring resolution or escalation
• Support industry and internal projects impacting trade flow and operations

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in financial services (essential)
• Strong Excel skills; understanding of macros highly regarded
• Knowledge of equity trade lifecycle from execution to settlement (preferred)
• Experience in an equities broker environment (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
