About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our Asset Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing credit risk, evaluating customer creditworthiness, and making sound, commercially viable lending decisions in line with company credit policies. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and approve credit applications within delegated authority.
• Escalate matters outside delegation while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused approach.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, credit frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse financial information, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, BAS, and bank statements.
• Minimise fraud, credit, and operational losses below industry benchmarks.
• Build strong working relationships with introducers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support other areas of the business as required.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance industry role (asset finance experience desirable).
• Strong knowledge of lending structures such as personal loans, finance leases, chattel mortgages, and operating leases.
• Familiarity with legislation and regulations including NCCP, AML/CTF, PPSR, Privacy Act, and Veda.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and interpreting credit data.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NCCP, AML/CTF, Privacy Act).
• Desirable: Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field; Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or equivalent.
