About Us
We are a rapidly (literally, it’s in the name!) growing construction consulting business that provides essential pre-construction number-crunching services to the residential building sector. Our clients are builders, renovators, and contractors across Australia. We’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to help us foster strong relationships with these clients and contribute to our ongoing success.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, your mission will be to generate and close leads with residential builders and contractors. While you’ll primarily be working with warm leads, you’ll also help explore new lead generation strategies to expand our reach. This is a hybrid, full-time role, and we're looking for someone based in Sydney who would like to spend a mix of time both in our Crows Nest head office and seeking business opportunities around Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales Closure: Work with a combination of warm leads and new opportunities to generate 2-5 leads per day and close 4-6 deals per week.
Client Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with residential builders, contractors, and renovators to foster repeat business.
CRM Management: Use Monday.com (or adaptability with a CRM system) to track and manage leads, sales, and client interactions. Keep your pipeline organized and your communication clear.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Directors of both AU and NZ to align sales strategies and goals. You will also collaborate regularly with the Marketing Team, who will support you with tools and resources to enhance your effectiveness.
Process Improvement: Contribute to refining internal processes to ensure smooth workflows and improved sales efforts across the business.
What We’re Looking For
Passion for the Building Industry: A strong interest or experience in residential building, renovations, or the construction industry will set you up for success in this role.
Sales & Relationship Building: You have experience closing deals, managing relationships, and negotiating with builders or contractors. You're a natural communicator who enjoys building trust.
Self-Starter Mentality: You're driven, proactive, and enjoy managing your own pipeline. The results of your efforts directly impact your earnings and the company’s growth.
Detail-Oriented: You'll manage numerous contacts, leads, and deals, so being organized and detail-focused is a must.
CRM Experience: Familiarity with CRM systems like Monday.com is preferred (but not essential). You should be comfortable learning new tools and maintaining accurate records.
Team Player: While you'll work independently, you’ll also need to collaborate effectively with the AU & NZ Directors and Marketing Team to optimise sales efforts and achieve business goals.
Social Capabilities - be able to navigate your way around social channels (Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook)
Trade Experience is highly advantageous
