Corporate Travel Specialist, part of TravelManagers Australia, is a new player within the home/mobile-based travel agency space, with a unique focus on corporate travel. We empower our Personal Travel Managers (PTMs) with innovative tools, tailored support, and the flexibility to deliver exceptional travel management solutions to small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). Backed by the House of Travel and TravelManagers Australia, you will be part of a new and exciting brand.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Corporate Travel Specialist, you’ll manage the full business development cycle: from identifying prospects, pitching our services, and securing new SME accounts, through to supporting seamless onboarding with our PTMs.
This is a 2-year contract role, designed to give the BDM time to gain traction in the SME market and build a strong pipeline of long-term clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Sourcing new SME clients: Proactively identify and engage potential SME businesses that could benefit from CTS’s comprehensive travel management solutions. Build and nurture relationships to establish Corporate Travel Specialist as their trusted travel partner.
Understanding client needs: Consult with prospects to understand their travel requirements, challenges, and booking behaviours. Present CTS’s offering — including our unique trading account options — and demonstrate how our solutions reduce costs, streamline processes, and support business growth.
Driving growth for PTMs: Match new SME clients with PTMs from our network based on their capabilities and needs list (sourced via the National Partnerships Office).
Supporting onboarding: Ensure a smooth handover to the PTM, introducing clients to their dedicated travel expert and reinforcing CTS’s personalised support model.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years’ experience in a Business Development or B2B Sales role, ideally with exposure to the Travel & Tourism sector
A results-driven individual who thrives in sales environments and consistently meets or exceeds KPIs
Strong networking, lead generation, and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to consult with business leaders
A passion for travel and an entrepreneurial mindset to help grow a leading SME-focused travel brand
