As the Accounting Practice Manager, you will play a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing client work, preparing financial statements and tax returns, providing expert accounting and tax advice, and managing key client relationships. You will also supervise staff and ensure the smooth operation of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and BAS/IAS for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs

Provide expert taxation and accounting advice to clients across various industries

Manage a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong and professional relationships

Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate staff

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines

Review work papers and ensure accuracy and quality of all outputs

Assist with workflow planning and improving internal systems and procedures

Requirements:

CPA or CA qualified (or near completion)

Minimum 5 years' experience in a public accounting practice

Strong expertise in SMSFs and trust structures is essential

Deep understanding of Australian taxation laws and accounting standards

Experience with complex tax areas including Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax, and FBT

Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and BGL

Strong communication and client relationship management skills

Ability to work autonomously and lead a small team
