Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage month-end close activities, including finalising revenue, cost-of-sales, inventory adjustments and reconciliations.

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (including accruals and prepayments) to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Review the Profit & Loss statement holistically, providing insights and commentary on key variances.

Drive inventory accounting and cost allocations, ensuring finished goods reflect all raw materials, packaging, and related manufacturing costs.

Manage compliance obligations including BAS returns (IAS, PAYG, GST), Payroll Tax, and FBT.

Oversee and review payroll activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Monitor and reconcile supplier deposits and final invoices, ensuring adherence to agreed payment terms and accurate cash flow reporting.

Assist in the half-yearly audit process, liaising with external auditors.

Driving continuous improvement across accounting processes and internal controls.

Supervise and support a junior team member, providing guidance, review, and development opportunities.

Act as a backup across the finance team, providing coverage when colleagues are on leave.

About You

CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a chartered environment.

Proven experience in inventory accounting, cost allocations, and month-end reporting.

Solid knowledge of BAS, FBT, Payroll tax, and compliance requirements.

High attention to detail & accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for process efficiency.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
