About the role

As a experienced Mechanical Engineer at Mick Murray Welding (N.T.)', you will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of sophisticated mechanical systems and equipment. Based in Bohle QLD 4818, this full-time position will see you contribute to the company's innovation and growth while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Designing, testing and improving mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements

Overseeing the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment

Analysing data, identifying issues and implementing solutions to optimise system performance

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering projects on time and within budget

Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations and workplace safety protocols

Providing technical guidance and support to production staff

Contributing to the development of new products and processes

What we're looking for

Australian Recognised Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is the minimum qualification requirement

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Proven track record of designing, developing and optimising mechanical systems

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills

Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities

Proficient in using engineering software and tools

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software is required

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
