Vuly Play is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Wakerley, QLD. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative outdoor play equipment, helping to bring our cutting-edge products to life. Position Overview:

The Mechanical Engineer is an integral part of Vuly’s dynamic products department. Working closely with the Cheif Product Officer and alongside the industrial design and fabrication teams, the ideal candidate will be passionate about product design and motivated by a hands-on, practical approach to executing the vision of the product brief. We are looking for an individual with an inquisitive mind who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty! Translating innovative ideas and visions into prototypes and efficiently mass-produced products are key duties of the role. Vuly prides itself on innovation, safety to the highest standard and consistency in production for all of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify potential product improvements, from concept reviews, QC inspections, warranty reports, etc.

Ensure the compliance of product improvements and new products with or exceeding relevant safety standards.

Conduct FEA analysis on new product design concepts.

Arrange prototypes to verify the test and validate design and engineering concepts

Work closely with the industrial design team to translate the final design of new products into manufacturing drawings with detailed techinicial requirements.

Quality Assurance documentation for raw materials and finished producrts, and enforce the on-site QC team to follow the process.

Work with the Quality Control team to determine the requirements of in-process inspection and finished product inspection.

Other miscellaneous (various) relevant projects as required in the R&D department.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Demonstrated passion for product creation.

Please note: Mandarin speaking is a requirement of this role

Creative approach to problem solving, candidates must be able to show unique and innovative work.

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of a wide range of material and manufacturing technologies, particularly including metals, plastics and textiles.

Fabrication and rapid prototyping experience is highly desirable.

Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Have confidence to discuss, negotiate and push suppliers in China.

Highly proficient skills with CAD, Solidworks (including Simulation) preferred

Excellent ability to read and understand a wide range of designs and schematics.

An ability and willingness to travel overseas is a requirement of this role.
