Hotel Maintenance Officer

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Officer who takes pride in their work, shows a strong sense of responsibility, and enjoys being part of a supportive hotel team. Working across two centrally located Perth hotels, this role is vital in ensuring our guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are always well-maintained, safe, and presented to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

Responding promptly to guest requests for repairs in guest rooms and public areas.

Carrying out routine preventive maintenance checks across guest rooms, operational systems, and hotel facilities.

Performing general building repairs including patching, painting, and minor installation works.

Attending to maintenance of systems and equipment such as sanitary fixtures, laundry and kitchen equipment, hot and cold-water systems, cooling water systems, storm/sewer systems, and spa/swimming pool systems.

Ensuring fire safety and engineering systems operate at peak efficiency.

Liaising with qualified contractors for specialised works (e.g. electrical and gas).

Overseeing the presentation of grounds and pool areas at Aurea Hotel, including supervising a part-time / casual groundskeeper (TBC).

Working closely with Hotel Managers and assisting the hotel teams as needed, including being available for on-call support.

About you:

Practical hands-on skills with proven maintenance experience, ideally in hotels or property operations.

A strong sense of pride and responsibility for the work you deliver.

A team player with good communication skills and a proactive approach.

Flexible to travel between properties as required.

Awareness of WHS standards and safe work practices.
