RICHMOND CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN & NEPHROLOGIST

PART TIME 4 DAYS PW ... 28 HOURS

MEDICAL SECRETARY / P.A

$43 - $45 per hour plus super

You will be working for a delightful, caring Consultant Physician, specialising in Nephrology.

The hours are Monday to Thursday

9.30 - 4.30 with an hour for lunch.

The rooms are based in Richmond - Car parking provided.

The main duties are:

Answering all incoming phone calls

Responding to phone and email enquiries from patients, referring doctors and organisations e.g pathology and hospitals

Booking of appointments

Running of and managing busy consulting sessions

Billings

Diary management

Dealing with a large amount of correspondence in and out of the practice

Billing for hospital patients through Blue Chip/Eclipse electronic billing

The necessary skills needed:

IT skills ( knowledge of Blue Chip & Medical Director an advantage)

Experience in the healthcare sector ( either GP's, specialists or hospitals)

Must show initiative

Ability to work unsupervised

Ability to prioritise tasks

Ability to deal efficiently, politely and in a timely manner to the many phone calls, requests and deal with the many letters and email correspondence

Attention to detail

Ability to deal in a sensitive way the complex issues of many patients seeing the doctor.

If you have the necessary skills, and wish to work only 4 days per week, 7 hours per day then this role not only gives you work/life balance, but a challenging role to navigate the many issues that arise running a specialist practice
