The Role:

Join Magenta as a Support Worker and make a profound impact in the live of a male participant with complex needs. In this role, you'll offer compassionate care and support to help our client to help him achieve his personal goals, including engaging in social activities, cooking, and managing daily tasks. You'll be integral in their journey, working closely with a values-driven team and a network of dedicated family members and health professionals.

Participant Information:
Our participant lives independently in his own home and has unique and complex needs that require a supportive and active approach. His care involves engaging with him through various activities, and while he displays complex behaviours, they are managed in a safe and structured way and we provide all necessary training. We are looking for someone energetic and compassionate, ready to be part of a dedicated team working together to support his well-being and personal goals.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience with individuals who have:
• High Support Needs
• Complex Behaviours
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Restrictive Practices
• Dynamic environment – ability to problem solve, read cues, adapt and respond calmly in any situation.

Essential Qualifications:
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children’s Check
• COVID-19 vaccination
• National Police Check
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate

Desirable qualifications include:
• Certificate III in Individualised Support or other relevant discipline
