We are seeking confident, kind, and resilient Female Support Workers with relevant experience to support our female Participant.

YOUR SKILLS:

Experience and in depth understanding of complex trauma

Experience in psychosocial disability support

Experience in intellectual disability support

Experience with Bi-polar disorder

Experience with High Intensity clients

Confidence, persistence and resilience

Reliability & commitment

The Participant is supported on a 24/7 basis with active overnights. All shifts are 8 hours.

All PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED SUPPORT WITH:

Activities of daily living.

Community & social engagement.

All aspects of support physically & emotionally and on an individual needs basis.

HOMECARING REQUIRE ALL SUPPORT WORKERS TO HAVE:

A genuine passion for working alongside individuals and their families to foster a positive & long-lasting relationship

Support clients with complex needs in a safe, respectful way.

Use de-escalation and conflict resolution skill to prevent escalation

Conversational communication skills & flexibility to support participant needs based on individual circumstances

A positive attitude strongly based on compassion & resilience, a sense of humour, and ongoing accountability

Excellent documentation skills

A Qualification in Disability support or related field

Although this role is based in the Ipswich area, you will need to be flexible and willing to travel to support participants we also work with in the Logan area.
