Responsibilities:

• Lead the compliance function at a national level while collaborating with wider group compliance teams.
• Develop, implement and oversee compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Keep up to date with regulatory and industry changes, ensuring the organisation is ready to meet new obligations.
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance reviews to identify gaps and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide compliance guidance and support business initiatives while meeting regulatory expectations.
• Act as the main contact for regulators during audits and inquiries, maintaining positive relationships.
• Provide regular reports to senior leadership on compliance performance, emerging risks and areas for improvement.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Over 10 years’ experience in senior compliance roles.
• More than 5 years’ experience within organisations holding an AFSL.
• Proven leadership and team management skills developed over 5+ years.
• Experience in the payments industry is an added advantage
• Strong background in AML/CTF, Regulatory Compliance and Privacy.
• Experience leading or contributing significantly to AFSL applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Sound commercial awareness combined with deep industry knowledge.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements across legal and compliance functions.
