About the Role
The fixed term Staff Deployment Assistant position (12 months) is part of a dynamic team within the State Operations Department and is responsible for the efficient and effective compilation, recording and dissemination of FRV Operational Rosters to ensure appropriate operational staffing levels in accordance with FRV requirements, including Enterprise Agreements and Award provisions.
Additionally, the Staff Deployment Assistant will oversee the preparation of monthly FRV operational rosters to include adequate staffing on each platoon at fire stations, through transferring operational staff to stations where their qualifications are required, in consultation with the Operational Commander. This position will also carry out administrative duties as requested by the Staff Development Supervisor.
What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
· Experience in Rostering function within an Emergency Service Organisation or similar environment;
· Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and application of EBA and Award provisions as they relate to rostering;
· Ability to manage and priorities workflow within a dynamic work environment and be able to work well with both Operational and Corporate staff.
