The position is expected to commence later this year or early next year, with flexibility for the right candidate.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic and ensure the smooth running of all administrative functions. Working closely with the Director, you will:

Lead and support administrative staff

Oversee reception and client services, including being confident with front desk tasks

Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and invoicing via Xero

Ensure compliance with Fair Work, privacy legislation, and relevant health standards

Oversee rosters, scheduling, and leave management

Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff

Manage clinic facilities, IT systems, and contractors

Assist with marketing, website updates, and GP/community engagement

This role requires a proactive professional who can confidently balance leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on administrative work.

About You

You’ll bring:

3+ years’ experience in practice or operations management (psychology or allied health preferred)

Strong leadership, organisation, and delegation skills

Excellent communication—clear, professional, and compassionate

Proficiency with Xero, Microsoft 365, and practice management platforms (e.g., Power Diary, Halaxy, Cliniko, or similar)

A sound understanding of legal and compliance obligations

A solutions-focused mindset and genuine passion for supporting both clients and staff

A willingness to increase hours to full time as the business grows will be highly regarded.

Location: Onsite at Fitzgerald Therapy, Ashgrove, Brisbane

Hours: 2–3 days per week (with potential to grow)
