We provide tailored solutions for residential and commercial properties across Sydney. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Building Manager to join our team.
The role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Building Manager to manage buildings in Lakemba and Miranda/Sutherland. In this hands-on, varied role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation and upkeep of the property. No two days are the same, making this an engaging and rewarding opportunity for a proactive professional.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and identify areas for improvement
Coordinate repairs and maintenance, managing contractors to ensure high quality work and compliance with contractual requirements
Manage the day-to-day operations of building facilities, including common areas, utilities, and essential services, ensuring all systems function efficiently
Liaise with owners, strata managers, committees and service providers
Implement and maintain emergency protocols and procedures
Assist the owners’ corporation in resolving building defects, offering proactive advice and guidance
Advise on budget planning and expenditure management to ensure financial efficiency
Maintain accurate procedures, policies, correspondence, reporting, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations (e.g., AFSS, WHS, insurance)
Actively participate in committee meetings and AGM meetings
Supervise cleaning and gardening staff to uphold high property standards
Provide strategic recommendations to enhance building operations and management practices
Perform general administration and support duties
Qualifications/experience
2+ years’ experience in Building Management or a similar role
Strong understanding of Strata Schemes, statutory legislation and WHS requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well-presented, professional, and approachable
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience with building management systems (e.g. BuildingLink, MYBOS)
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude, adaptable, and willing to take initiative
Must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have own transportation
