Our client is seeking a hands-on and forward-thinking IT Support Specialist to take ownership of IT operations in their Sydney office. This is an opportunity to step into a role where you'll be trusted to make decisions, drive efficiencies, and create smarter ways of working.

With direct support from an experienced U.S. team, you'll also play a key role in global initiatives, giving you the chance to expand your skills and influence beyond the local office.

What you'll be doing

• Act as the dedicated IT contact for the Sydney office, ensuring systems and users are fully supported
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across hardware, software, networks, and mobile devices
• Configure, secure, and maintain infrastructure, ensuring smooth and reliable operations
• Manage Active Directory accounts, security groups, and onboarding processes
• Enhance workflows and drive automation through Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate)
• Support a variety of business applications, providing guidance and training to end users
• Partner with global colleagues to deliver on enterprise-level projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll bring

• 3 to 5 years' experience in a hands-on IT support role with exposure across infrastructure, applications, and networks
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Office 365, and Active Directory
• Experience or interest in PowerApps and Power Automate, with the ability to support and develop solutions
• Working knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs
• Experience with server administration and virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
• A proactive mindset with the ability to spot opportunities for improvement and take initiative
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to lead IT locally while collaborating globally
