Overview:

The Misfits Media Company is looking for an Integrated Marketing Specialist.

The role is responsible for delivering brand-building initiatives and events that drive awareness, engagement, and commercial growth for the B&T and Travel Weekly brands.

This role blends strategic marketing planning, brand alignment, and event marketing management, ensuring every initiative supports the company’s positioning and audience objectives. Reporting to the Director of Client Services and working closely with editorial, design and commercial team managers, this position requires a strong collaborator with excellent organisational skills and a passion for creating meaningful brand experiences. Eligible candidates should have 3 years plus experience as an Integrated Marketing Specialist, or similar.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Marketing Strategy

Support the development of annual marketing plans that strengthen brand positioning and drive audience engagement.

Ensure all marketing and event activity aligns with brand identity, tone of voice, and commercial objectives.

Provide input on creative concepts, activations, and new initiatives to enhance sponsorship value and audience experience.

Event Marketing Management

Plan and manage the marketing of key events, conferences, and activations in collaboration with the Client Services and events teams, ensuring they align with brand strategy and commercial objectives.

Coordinate promotional timelines and partner deliverables to support audience acquisition and maximise event impact, working with suppliers and vendors as needed.

Develop and implement event marketing plans and collateral, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all digital and physical touchpoints.

Identify potential risks to event success, optimise audience engagement strategies, and adjust plans where necessary to deliver seamless, high-impact outcomes.

Audience Engagement & Promotion

Develop, implement and/or manage B&T and Travel Weekly internal campaigns and events end to end.

Identify the right target audiences for each initiative and select the most effective channels for outreach.

Coordinate the creation of promotional materials and work with content and creative teams to ensure timely delivery.

Collaborate with internal marketing and editorial teams to amplify event promotion across owned media.

Stakeholder & Partner Relations

Manage relationships with sponsors, partners, and vendors, ensuring deliverables are met and partnerships are maximised.

Support the commercial team in developing partner activations and delivering agreed benefits.

Liaise with internal teams to align event and marketing priorities with broader business goals.

Budget & Performance Oversight

Manage marketing and event budgets, ensuring spend is efficient and aligned with objectives.

Track and analyse key marketing and event performance metrics – including registrations, attendance conversion rates, engagement levels, lead generation, and sponsor ROI – and prepare post-event reports with actionable insights and recommendations to optimise future campaigns and programs.

Collaboration & Mentorship

Mentor and guide junior coordinators, supporting their development and encouraging a collaborative working environment.

Work cross-functionally with sales, creative, and product teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging.

Engage external suppliers or freelancers as required to deliver quality outcomes.
