About the role

Smith Plant is seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join our team on a major project in Casino, NSW. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a range of compaction equipment including smooth drum rollers, padfoot rollers and multi tyre rollers, The successful candidate will be part of a 12-month road / industrial subdivision project for a government client.

What you'll be doing

Operating smooth drum, padfoot and multi tyre rollers on roadworks and subdivision projects.

Carrying out daily pre-start checks on machines.

Completing some labor tasks onsite when not on rollers as directed by the site supervisor.

Helping with site set out, levels and collecting paperwork from deliveries.

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 years' experience on rollers

Must have a RII roller ticket and white card

Be fit and willing to help on the ground throughout the day assisting the site supervisor completing a wide variety of tasks.

With near new equipment we are looking for someone that will look after our machines including greasing / daily plant checks and keeping the doors shut.

Having experience on watercarts and tip trucks would also be advantageous but not necessary.
