About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Plant Operator (Excavator, Posi & Roller) to join our team at Australian Ground Technologies' (AGT). As a key member of our construction crew, you will operate a variety of civil plant equipment to support large scale infrastructure & civil projects across Metro Sydney predominately around Western Sydney. You will be part of a retaining wall crew specialising in sandstone log, keystone walls & sleeper walls etc.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate and maintain a range of civil construction plant and equipment including Excavators, Posi, Roller, etc

Specialising in backfilling- Sandstone material behind retaining walls and achieve desired compaction

Specialising in retaining walls such as Keystone, Sandstone, Log walls, Sleeper walls

Carry out pre-start checks and basic maintenance on assigned equipment

Collaborate with site supervisors and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification

Identify and report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly

Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience operating an Excavator, Posi & Roller within a civil environment, specialising in retaining walls

Current valid drivers license & own transport

Construction Induction White Card & Relevant certificate of competency

Strong understanding of construction methods, site processes, and quality standards

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe work practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
