Code Black Coffee is seeking a Cafe Manager to manage our fantastic, vibrant, and professional FOH team at our Howard St venue.

We are also searching for a strong and bubbly Café Supervisor for another venue, as well as talented wait staff.

We are looking for our next incredible leader as someone with minimum 2 years solid management experience, some specialty coffee knowledge, the desire to inspire and lead a team (not just be a boss) and who has a genuine passion for providing outstanding service to our great customers.

An epic Cafe Manager will have the organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of daily operations in the venue, the dedication to drive profitability and achieve objectives and goals, and the personality to create a vibe that attracts customers to keep coming back again and again.

An extraordinary Café Supervisor will have a strong work ethic and will provide ongoing support to the Venue Manager; as well as motivating the FOH team and taking the lead when required.

The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and lead our team and will need to be able to:

Act as constant role model for our team and showcase your professional industry skills in a friendly and genuine manner

Ensure the daily service is run to a high standard consistently and efficiently

Manage stock control and inventory, staffing and wage costs (prepare rosters, assign specific duties)

Identify and determine areas for cost reduction and improvement

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

Manage staff performance, provide constructive feedback as required, identify weaknesses, and provide training as appropriate

Encourage a supportive, positive, and fun workplace for all employees

Inspire team members with a lead-by-example approach with a positive and energetic attitude

Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of both Food Safety and OH&S requirements

Develop new and exciting beverage offerings

Work collaboratively with other personnel within the business and assist in recruitment for new front-of-house employees

Serve alcohol (RSA required)
