About the role

Butter Kitchen, an exciting and fast-growing Indian Restaurant in Hurstbridge, VIC, is seeking an experienced Restaurant and Cafe Manager to join their talented team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for all our guests.

What you'll be doing

Manage and lead a team of service staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service

Oversee the efficient and effective running of the restaurant, including inventory management, scheduling, and cash handling

Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards

Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner

Monitor and analyse sales and performance data to identify areas for improvement

Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment

Assist in the development and execution of marketing and promotional initiatives to drive business growth

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or cafe setting

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing a exceptional dining experience

Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting

Strong 1problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations

Thorough knowledge of food safety and liquor licensing regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
