RECEPTIONIST REQUIRED

Medicine On Second is a non-corporate and fully accredited medical clinic which has been looking after locals and visitors for over 30 years.

We are seeking a medical receptionist to join our admin team. You will be required to provide admin support to our 10 GP’s and nursing staff. The position is casual for approximately 30plus hours per week, plus holiday/sick leave cover. Those undertaking a Health Administration certificate are encouraged to apply.

Our reception hours are 7.30am and 5.45pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am – 12.15pm on Saturdays

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Answering phone calls, making appointments and attending to patient enquiries

Processing medicare and private payments including workcover/insurance

General admin duties including data entry, updating patient files, scanning, emailing and faxing

Managing confidential patient records

Comply with privacy and confidentiality principles

Essential Criteria:

Previous medical reception experience highly regarded

Experience in Best Practice would be ideal but training provided

Proficient computer skills

Excellent communication skills and phone manner

A friendly, approachable and welcoming personality

The ability to work independently and as part of a team
