About the role

We are seeking a part-time Estimator / sales quotes to join the team at Superior Metal Industries' in Mandurah, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates and sales quotes for our construction projects, playing a crucial part in our company's ongoing success.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed cost estimates and sales quotes for construction projects based on project requirements, material costs, labour, and other relevant factors

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather necessary information for estimating and quoting

Monitor market conditions and material/labour prices to ensure estimates remain competitive and accurate

Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop winning proposals

Maintain an organised system for tracking estimates, quotes, and project status

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally within the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost drivers

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

Proficient in using estimating software and MS Office applications

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal teams

Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, or a related field
