About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is keen to learn, and has a confident and positive attitude. The successful candidate must also have:

· the ability to learn quickly and on-the-job

· excellent attention to detail

· a commitment to customer service

· a flexible attitude, ability to work independently and show initiative

· sound financial literacy and written communication ability, and

· good computer, organisation and admin skills.

· Australian work rights are required for this position.

A background in sales and/or administration in a showroom environment is desirable, but not necessary.

As the role involves lifting and moving products, you need to be physically capable of manual handling and mindful of occupational safety and health requirements.

Duties

This is a dynamic, varied and hands-on sales role that involves:

· selling plumbing fixtures, including tapware, toilets, baths and basins

· working with customers, architects and designers to prepare product selections for new home and renovation projects

· preparing proposals, product and design presentations, and scopes of work for projects (Xero, Word and Publisher)

· intermediate computer skills required for preparing proposals and presentations using Xero, Word and Publisher

· acquiring and maintaining a knowledge of product ranges, design trends and plumbing requirements for products, and

· general up-keep of displays and the showroom.

Hours and salary

The successful applicant must be able to work Tuesdays 9am-4pm. plus 2 other weekdays 9am-4pm and be available for Saturday work, 10am-1pm.

The base salary will be commensurate with relevant experience.
