Eat Speak Learn is an award-winning paediatric allied health clinic with a big heart. We’re seeking a part-time Finance Officer to bring financial clarity, compliance, and seamless systems integration to our growing team.

This is a newly created role — ideal for someone who’s detail-driven, proactive, and enjoys combining numbers with people skills. You’ll not only manage the finances but also play a key role in maintaining positive relationships with our clients and their plan managers.

About the Role

Working closely with our Managing Director and Client Support Team, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the clinic, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while keeping client relations front of mind.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Generating invoices from Splose (our practice management system) and ensuring coding compliance.

Reconciling payments in Xero, including daily bank reconciliations and cash allocations.

Managing debtors and accounts receivable, including liaising with NDIS Plan Managers and clients regarding accounts.

Responding to account-related enquiries with professionalism and empathy, supporting a positive client experience.

Processing bills, reimbursements, and staff expenses.

Monitoring cash flow and preparing simple weekly forecasts.

Maintaining staff leave records and reconciling these with payroll requirements.

Tracking supplier contracts, insurance, and subscription renewals.

Ensuring smooth operation of finance-related systems and integrations (e.g., Xero ↔ Splose ↔ Stripe).

There’s also potential to take on responsibilities such as:

Payroll administration.

Budgeting and financial forecasting.

Supporting management with KPI dashboards and reports.

About You

You’re organised, thorough, and confident working with numbers and people. You have strong Xero skills and a knack for explaining finance clearly to clients, plan managers, and colleagues.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

Have proven experience with Xero (essential).

Are confident reconciling accounts, managing cash flow, and handling debtors.

Are comfortable engaging with clients and plan managers about account queries.

Understand billing and compliance requirements (NDIS or health sector experience highly regarded).

Have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Classification & Remuneration

Classification: Support Services Employee – Level 5 (HPSS Award).
Remuneration: While the Award minimum is $29.07/hour, we offer an above-Award rate of $35–$46/hour + super, recognising the autonomy, client focus, and compliance scope of this role.
