A family-owned business based in New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant. This role will oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and efficient management of financial resources.

The ideal candidate will come from a family office background and demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency in accounting principles to support the effective management of the family's Australian operations. This position reports directly to the Manager of Finance & Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Family Office experience
• Manage and monitor cash flow, reconciliations, and general ledger transactions
• Oversee the accounting close process, ensuring accurate recording of assets, liabilities, and net worth
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Manager
• Support various ad hoc projects and requests as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active CA or CPA accreditation
• Minimum of 3 year's experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Strong month-end close experience
• Proficient in preparing GST, FBT, and payroll tax returns
• Experience supporting agriculture or real estate sectors is an advantage
• Skilled in navigating and troubleshooting common accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Xero
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information
