About the Role

As Victoria grows, so too does Fire Rescue Victoria’s service to the community.

FRV is expanding its Sunshine workshop and is seeking skilled and experienced Mechanical Technicians (Diesel Mechanics – C8) to join the team.

6 Months Fixed Term Appointment

In these roles, you will:

Undertake scheduled maintenance and repairs of fire appliances and ancillary equipment

Contribute to turnkey projects in collaboration with departments across FRV’s statewide service

Carry out emergency field service repairs on the fireground to support operational crews

You will be expected to deliver high-quality service within set timeframes, while ensuring Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards are consistently maintained in both workshop and field environments.

What We Require

Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification (mandatory)

Current Victorian HR Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
