About the role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Secon Freight Logistics' in Truganina, Victoria. This is a full-time role, responsible for the servicing and maintenance of our extensive fleet of heavy vehicles and machinery.

As a key member of our internal workshop, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our operations.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement appropriate solutions

Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken

Liaise with team members to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks

Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to protect yourself, your colleagues, and our assets

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our maintenance practices

What we're looking for

Must have a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, working with heavy vehicles and in the transport industry.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Sound knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices
