Centacare Family Services are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced applicants to join our Geraldton based team in the position of Manager for the Housing First Support Services.
The Housing First Support Services (HFSS) seek to ensure people who are sleeping rough are assisted to find and maintain suitable accommodation and housing. The HFSS works closely with the WA Alliance to end homelessness and the community services sector, under a collective impact model, to secure suitable accommodation, housing with appropriate wraparound supports to help people maintain successful tenancies and rebuild their lives.
A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 will be offered based on skills and experience. This is a Fulltime position located in Geraldton, Western Australia, offering a flexible 9-day roster, at level 6.1 of $55.72 per hour.
Key Functions
The key responsibilities of the Housing First Support Services Manager include:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housing First Support Service.
Supervising, supporting, and leading team members and volunteers.
Driving strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Representing the needs of HFSS, and the Geraldton community, in advocacy and community education.
Qualifications and Accreditations
Formal qualification in one or more of the following areas, or related disciplines:
o Social work
o Psychology
o AOD
Hold, or able to obtain, a current WA Working with Children Check, and WA Police Check.
Experience / Skill
Experience working with people experiencing chronic homelessness, or lived experience of mental health issues, AOD, intergenerational trauma or complex trauma.
Understanding of issues affecting First Nations people, particularly homelessness, intergenerational trauma, and cultural obligations.
Experience leading and supporting a team in a similar environment.
Sound knowledge of homelessness, housing, mental health and mainstream services available in Geraldton.
The ability to work with people from various backgrounds, and to respect different cultures and diversity.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to use highly developed communication both written and verbal to work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders and the broader community.
Experience and high level of competency skill with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, and databases. SHIP experience desirable not essential.
Clinical Governance experience in policy and practice.
Remuneration & Benefits
A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 plus superannuation and salary sacrifice option will be provided based on skills and experience.
Level 6.1 $55.72 per hour + Superannuation.
