About the Role
The City's Infrastructure Capital Works team focuses on the design and construction of the City's capital infrastructure projects in accordance with our capital works program.
As a Project Officer in the Construction team, you will contribute to the delivery of civil and parks related capital works projects through the application of project management services. You will be responsible for providing a range of project management and contract management services, including the preparation of reports, projects plans and briefs, and coordinating resources in a timely manner in accordance with the City's Project Management Framework to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Effective communication with customers and stakeholders is essential to ensure the timely exchange of information, support service excellence and facilitate successful project delivery.
About you
To be successful in the position, you will have knowledge of project management principles and practices and building construction practices and methodology. As a member of a high performing team, you will be adaptable and ready to take on a challenge for project delivery.
Through your resume and cover letter you will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, project management or equivalent experience.
- National Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
- Intermediate experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
- C class Drivers Licence.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Advanced communication and problem-solving skills.
